The First Legacy Standard Bible Curriculum

The First Legacy Standard Bible Curriculum

Grace Curriculum is excited to announce the release of Adventure Club using the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB). This marks the first childrens’ curriculum available in LSB and is to be followed by our Generations of Grace (3rd Edition) curriculum in the future. Adventure Club is a midweek evening program delivering the gospel through systematic theology to children ages 3–12.

One of the most significant changes readers will notice with the LSB translation is that the name of God—“Yahweh”—is used instead of the convention of using the title “LORD.” This identifies God by His very name, establishes Him as the God of the Bible, and as God of Israel in the Old Testament. Readers can see, hear, and read the very name of God rather than saying His title.

Similarly, the LSB translation has capitalized all of the pronouns for God. This conveys reverence to God, while helping the reader to identify and understand when God is being spoken of or is speaking Himself. Readers may also note the use of italics in Bible verses. Italicized words indicate their addition by the translator in order to help the reader to understand the meaning of the text, although there is no corresponding term in the original languages. Readers will also notice that verses are occasionally type-set in smaller upper-case letters; this convention is used to indicate an instance where an Old Testament text is being quoted in the New Testament. The LSB also consistently translates the word doulos as “slave” for the purpose of describing one who is totally subordinate to a master who has been redeemed and bought back by Yahweh. This also underscores the believer’s wholehearted devotion and surrender to Yahweh.

Grace Curriculum is very pleased to provide this alternate translation of The Adventure Club program for churches who are familiar with the Legacy Standard Bible already or are waiting for the MacArthur Study Bible LSB to be released November 2024. I am from the Philippines and would like to purchase this for my child. Do you also ship outside the country? How much does it cost?

I homeschool my son, we LOVE the LSB. I am very interested in learning more about this LSB Bible Curriculum. Is there a way to order it for only 1 student, 1 teacher?

We are a very small church – how much is the cost for the full program? We would only have 6-10 total for the Scouts/Trailblazers combined.
